Product Manager – Pool & Architectural Lighting

PAL Lighting is seeking an experienced Product Manager – Pool & Architectural Lighting to join our agile team in a full-time capacity. Based in Caringbah, NSW, this is a strategic role that sits at the intersection of product development, marketing, and commercial excellence. You will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of our pool and architectural lighting product portfolio, from concept through to market launch and optimisation. This position is pivotal in driving innovation, market growth, and customer satisfaction within these specialised segments of the lighting industry.

Key responsibilities

- Developing and executing comprehensive product strategies for pool and architectural lighting ranges, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies
- Overseeing the full product development cycle, from initial concept and design through to launch and post-launch optimisation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure successful product delivery and market adoption
- Conducting market research and customer analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation
- Managing product roadmaps and prioritising features, improvements, and new product introductions based on business objectives and customer feedback
- Defining product specifications, requirements, and success metrics in partnership with technical and design teams
- Creating and maintaining product documentation, including positioning statements, messaging frameworks, and sales enablement materials
- Monitoring product performance against KPIs and business targets, making data-driven recommendations for optimisation




- Building and maintaining robust relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders to gather insights and drive product adoption
- Supporting the sales and marketing teams with product training, demonstrations, and promotional campaigns

What we’re looking for

- 3+ years of product management experience, preferably within the lighting, construction, home improvement, or related manufacturing sectors
- Proven track record of successfully bringing products to market and managing product portfolios from conception to maturity
- Strong understanding of pool and architectural lighting applications, customer requirements, and industry standards (or the ability to quickly develop this expertise)
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in product management tools, software, and methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, or Lean principles)
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in team-based environments and build strong internal and external relationships
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to electrical and lighting products




- Tertiary qualification in business, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience with market research methodologies and customer discovery techniques would be advantageous
- Familiarity with design and technical specifications for lighting products would strengthen your application
