Registered Nurses - Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics

MetWest Surgical is licensed by the NSW Department of Health and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). We have 1 operating theatre utilising the latest state-of-the-art equipment together with a 1 bed first-stage recovery unit and a 1-recliner chair second-stage recovery unit.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Registered Nurses experience in Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics to join our dedicated team at MetWest Surgical on a casual basis.

Reporting to the CEO, you will play a key role in providing safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience in the scrub/scout and anaesthetics, admission, recovery, and discharge of patients undergoing IV sedation.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality nursing care in a day surgery environment, performing scrub/scout RN duties as required.
- Keen attention to detail, with the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues to support patient care.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in rostering to meet facility requirements.
- Active participation in Quality Improvement activities.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Perioperative nursing, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills.
- Previous ophthalmology experience is desirable but not essential.
- Please note all applicants must currently possess the right to work permanently in Australia.
