ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to leadership. You'll own the month-end close, bookkeeping and reconciliations for the dispensary business, manage the weekly sell-through invoicing and reconciliation back to the head entity, and act as a genuine business partner to the clinic business on budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:





- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax return preparation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a mid-senior role.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
