About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll work across multiple business units, partnering with operational and leadership teams to provide the financial and commercial insights that drive performance.

This is not a role where you'll spend your time focused solely on month‑end reporting. Instead, you'll be "riding shotgun" for the Commercial Manager and getting involved in pricing decisions, tender submissions, business cases, commercial analysis and strategic projects, giving you exposure to how the business operates and grows.

- Building financial models, pricing reviews and business cases
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Investigating performance trends and providing meaningful commercial insights
- Analysing costs, profitability and operational performance
- Supporting tender submissions and current business opportunities
- Preparing reports, presentations and decision papers for leadership teams
- Managing customer invoicing and reporting requirements
- Supporting contract administration and customer review processes
- Working closely with stakeholders across finance, operations and leadership

The role is based in Fortitude Valley, with occasional travel to operational sites.

About You

You might already be working as a Commercial Analyst,



Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner and be looking for a role with greater variety and influence.

Equally, you may be coming from a traditional accounting background and looking for that first genuine move into a commercial role. Perhaps you're tired of producing reports after decisions have already been made and want a seat at the table where those decisions happen.

- A degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or Accounting
- CA/CPA qualification, or be working towards completion
- Strong analytical capability and commercial curiosity
- The ability to interpret data and translate it into practical recommendations
- Confidence building relationships across a range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence through insight
- A proactive, self-driven approach and willingness to get involved

Most importantly, you'll be naturally curious, commercially minded and motivated to understand how the business works beyond the numbers, with the ability to use these skills to influence decision making.
