About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join Signature Glass on a full-time basis in our Townsville, QLD office. This is a strategic role that will oversee the day-to-day operations of our business, ensuring efficient workflows, quality delivery and team performance. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all operational activities, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support our growth objectives. This role is integral to the success of our organisation and will report directly to senior management.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily operational activities including scheduling, inventory management and resource allocation
- Manage and supervise operational staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and team development
- Ensure projects and tasks are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Monitor operational efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
- Coordinate with sales, administration and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain health and safety compliance across all operational areas and ensure staff adherence to safety protocols
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes to maintain quality materials and services




- Prepare operational reports and provide performance metrics to senior management
- Respond to customer concerns and ensure service quality standards are consistently met
- Implement and maintain systems and procedures that support operational excellence

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in an operations management or similar supervisory role, preferably within the trades, manufacturing, or service delivery sectors
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating diverse teams
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Proficiency with computer systems and operational management software; experience with scheduling and inventory systems is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with staff, management and clients
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
- Knowledge of the glass, glazing or construction industries is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data and drive operational improvements
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
