About the opportunity

Mobility Access Modifications (MAM) is looking for an experienced Warehouse Improvement & Implementation Lead to join our Preston operation for a focused six-month period.

We already know many of the areas we want to improve.

We have started building Trello role boards, daily and weekly task structures, training through iSpring, trade load-up processes and a number of warehouse improvement initiatives.

What we now need is someone experienced who can be consistently on the floor, working alongside the team and actually implementing them.

This is not a desk-based continuous improvement role where you observe the warehouse, write a report and disappear.

You’ll spend a significant amount of your time downstairs with the team, watching how work actually happens, identifying where things break down, implementing better systems and making sure those systems become normal practice.

What you’ll be responsible for

You’ll work closely with our Warehouse Team Leader, Analyst, trades and operational teams to:

- Implement a proper trade pre-load system across Minor Modifications, Major Modifications and stock replenishment.
- Improve stock control, including returned stock, stock ownership, minimum/maximum levels, storage and replenishment.
- Reduce unnecessary Bunnings trips, emergency purchasing, warehouse deliveries and trades leaving jobs to collect missing materials.




- Embed Trello into the Warehouse team’s daily and weekly routines and continue improving the existing boards.
- Support the Warehouse Team Leader with team structure, delegation, daily expectations, accountability and leadership routines.
- Implement practical 5S standards and warehouse audits, making sure actions are actually followed through each month.
- Review warehouse workflows and identify bottlenecks, wasted movement, double handling, rework and unclear responsibilities.
- Improve processes around receiving goods, picking, pre-loading, dispatch, returned materials and replenishment.
- Clarify responsibilities and performance expectations across individual Warehouse roles.
- Identify training gaps and help improve our iSpring Warehouse training and refresher modules.
- Turn improved processes into straightforward SOPs, checklists and standard work that remain in place after the six-month contract.
- Provide management with visibility of progress, outstanding issues and the improvements being embedded.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally come from a larger, well-organised warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment where you have seen what valuable looks like.

More importantly, you need to know how to bring those standards into a business practically.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has strong hands-on warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or operational experience.
- Has previously implemented operational or warehouse improvements - not simply recommended them.
- Understands stock control, material flow,



pre-loading/picking, replenishment and warehouse organisation.
- Has practical experience with 5S, standard work, visual management or continuous improvement.
- Can identify the root cause of an issue and turn the solution into a simple process people will actually follow.
- Is comfortable working directly with frontline warehouse staff and trades.
- Can coach and support a Team Leader while still holding people accountable.
- Is organised, practical and strong on follow-through.
- Is comfortable using systems such as Trello, Excel or similar task and reporting tools.
- Has proper working rights for Australia.
- Experience within building materials, construction, trades, manufacturing or field-service operations would be highly regarded.

What success looks like after six months

We’re not hiring someone simply to tell us what could be better.

By the end of the contract, we want to see a warehouse where pre-loading is structured, stock ownership is clearer, unnecessary purchasing and material delays have reduced, Trello is part of the normal daily rhythm, 5S standards are maintained, responsibilities are understood and the critical processes are documented and trainable.

Just as importantly, the Warehouse Team Leader and team should be capable of maintaining those systems once the project is complete.

Our warehouse supports multiple operational areas including Minor Modifications, Major Modifications, manufacturing and our field-based trades.

This role gives you the opportunity to work across the full flow of materials from stock arriving through to products and materials being prepared for the people completing work in our clients’ homes.
