Visual Storyteller (Power BI Consultant)

About the Role

BI3 Technologies is looking for a Visual Storyteller / Power BI Consultant who knows how to turn complex data into clear, compelling stories that influence decision-making .

This is not just a dashboarding role . You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics leaders to design executive-ready insights that are intuitive, trustworthy, and impactful.

You’ll be embedded with a household-name enterprise client in Sydney , on a long-term engagement , with flexibility to work remotely while spending 2 days per week onsite for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Design and deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards that tell a clear business story
- Translate complex datasets into simple, visually compelling insights
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, decisions, and pain points
- Apply best-practice data visualisation and UX principles
- Build semantic models and measures (DAX) that support reusable, scalable reporting
- Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and performance
- Present insights confidently to senior stakeholders and executives
- Continuously improve dashboard usability, performance, and adoption

What We’re Looking For

Essential:





- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (reports, dashboards, DAX)
- Proven ability to tell stories with data , not just build charts
- Experience working with business stakeholders (finance, operations, marketing, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts (facts, dimensions, measures)
- Ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in enterprise environments

Nice to Have (but not mandatory):

- Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL)
- Familiarity with UX or design thinking principles
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Background in consulting or client-facing roles
