About the Role

The role is primarily an on-road, customer-facing role. You'll spend most of your week walking through damaged homes across Metro Sydney, often meeting homeowners on one of their more stressful days. Your job is to combine your building and insurance knowledge with our 3D capture technology to produce a complete, accurate digital record of the property. This is not to assess the claim or decide a claim outcome, but to make sure all key stakeholders are working from the same accurate picture.

You'll be out in people's homes every day, bringing the accuracy and judgement you've built — whether that's from years on-site or years reviewing building assessments, leak detection, roof,



and engineering reports at a desk — together with technology that’s still evolving. We love hearing from people who are drawn to that combination — who want to keep developing their own skills, and who enjoy being the person a homeowner trusts the moment they walk through the door.

No prior 3D capture experience is required — we provide full training on the technology. What we can't train is your keen eye for detail, as well as the professionalism and rapport to walk into a person's home and leave them feeling looked after.

Is This You?

You have built a strong career in insurance claims — perhaps as a Claims Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, or internal claims handler without traditional trade knowledge — and you are looking to get out from behind the desk and into the field. Or, you might come from a building background as an Estimator or Supervisor looking for a tech-driven change of pace.

Whichever path you took to get here, you already know how to read a scope of work, you understand insurable events (escape of liquid, storm, fire, impact damage), and you know what insurers need. Just as importantly, you have the empathy and communication skills to be the reassuring face of a company in a stressed homeowner's living room. We can teach you the 3D tech and support your on-site knowledge; what we can't teach is your established industry expertise and ability to read a room. If you've ever been told you're “outstanding with customers” or “the one clients ask for,” that matters to us.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

- Visiting residential properties throughout Sydney Metro on a scheduled run.

- Producing high-quality digital twins using our 3D capture technology.

- Applying your building and insurance knowledge so all visible damage is properly documented — nothing missed, nothing overstated.





- Following standardised SyncTech workflows to capture complete, consistent digital evidence.

- Delivering a genuinely good customer experience at every visit — this is a KPI, not a nice-to-have.

- Working with our Operations, Product and Tech teams to help us keep improving the capture process.

To be clear: this role does not involve determining claim outcomes, negotiating claims, or acting on behalf of an insurer or policyholder. It's focused solely on accurate technical documentation and digital capture.

Essential Experience

- Strong customer service and communication skills — you'll need to put anxious homeowners at ease, every visit.

- A strong background in Insurance Claims (Claims Management, Supervision, or handling) or Building Estimating/Supervising, with experience reading scopes of work or assessing damage from reports.

- A keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn how to identify physical building damage on‑site.

- Full unencumbered Australian Driver's Licence.

Highly Desirable

- Specific experience in repair scoping, building estimating, or insurance building consulting.

- Genuine interest in how technology and AI are changing the insurance industry.

- Trade qualification (Carpentry, Building, Plumbing or similar).

- 3D capture technology experience (training provided regardless).
