Workfast is looking for an experienced Landscaper / Grounds Maintenance Worker to join a leading industrial site in Townsville, QLD.

We are currently seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain outdoor areas across a large industrial site and nearby solar facility. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping grounds, gardens and surrounding areas well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate ride‑on mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
- Use whipper snippers, blowers and hand tools to maintain outdoor areas.
- Carry out general mowing, trimming and grounds maintenance.
- Undertake weed control and spraying activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain gardens, lawns, pathways and surrounding outdoor areas.
- Identify and report areas requiring maintenance or additional attention.
- Complete general groundskeeping and outdoor maintenance tasks.
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and maintained in positive working condition.
- Follow all workplace health,



safety and environmental procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and presentable work environment.

What You Bring to the Team

- Experience operating ride‑on mowers and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Experience using whipper snippers and other powered hand tools.
- Experience with weed spraying or chemical application is highly desirable.
- Strong work ethic and a practical, hands‑on approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Qualifications

- ACDC - would be a huge bonus
- Any VOC's for statement of attainments for using machinery such as chain saws would be a bonus.
- Operation, inspection and maintenance of irrigation systems, bore irrigation systems, pumps, sprays,
- risers and related machinery.
- Approved herbicide and weedicide application practices, including weed hygiene and prevention of
