Nesting Space Mental Health is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team on Sydney's Northern Beaches. This position will initially be offered on a three-day-per-week basis, with the opportunity to increase to a full-time role as the caseload grows. We are looking for someone who is excited to grow with the role and become a long-term member of our team.
We are primarily seeking a clinician who enjoys working with children and families and is passionate about supporting neurodivergent children, emotional regulation, sensory processing, social participation, and functional independence. However, we're also looking for a bit of a unicorn, someone who is open to supporting a small number of adult clients alongside their paediatric caseload. These adults may present with psychosocial disabilities, ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges.
No prior adult mental health experience? That's okay. We are happy to provide supervision, mentoring, and ongoing professional development to help you build confidence and skills in this area.
About the Role
- Predominantly paediatric community-based caseload
- Opportunity to support a small number of adolescent and adult clients

At Nesting Space, our mission is to create meaningful change in the lives of individuals experiencing psychosocial, emotional, behavioural, sensory, and social challenges. We are looking for someone who shares our values and is excited to be part of a growing, innovative practice.
Your day can run exactly how you could like it and start and finish when you wish. For example, you could start the day working from home or in the office to do some reports with the afternoon's spent visiting clients in their homes or in the community. This could look different depending on if you have kids to drop at school or if you want to go to the gym! Working in a community role allows you to have flexibility and control over structuring your day.
You will be working from our base Collaroy office with working from home as much as you like. Although we are mostly mobile,
we also have a clinic space in Brookvale. Depending on where you are living, we'll tailor your caseload to service clients around the Northern Sydney Area. Your admin support team will work with you on scheduling appointments to ensure you aren't overdoing travel around Sydney and you'll have clients to see close to home. If you wish to be in charge of your own diary then that is fine also!
Nesting Space offers mentorship and supervision to help you develop strong skills in writing detailed reports, conducting functional capacity assessments, and completing interventions to meet clients' goals. Your reports will also be reviewed by the director and provided with feedback before sending to the client and their supporting team.
We have a strong team focus and do monthly catch ups over breakfast!
