TRUCK DRIVER MR LOCAL PICK UP & DELIVERY DRIVER – TOWNSVILLE

This is a permanent full time position providing local pick-up and delivery services throughout Townsville and surrounding areas. Your day-to-day duties will include local pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Townsville area, delivering palletised general freight to commercial customers, operating an MR tautliner fitted with a tailgate, loading and unloading freight as required, completing vehicle pre-start checks, using the electronic freight and delivery system, providing professional and friendly service to customers, and ensuring freight is handled and secured safely.

Key responsibilities

- Local pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Townsville area
- Delivering palletised general freight to commercial customers
- Operating an MR tautliner fitted with a tailgate
- Loading and unloading freight as required
- Completing vehicle pre-start checks




- Using the electronic freight and delivery system
- Providing professional and friendly service to customers
- Ensuring freight is handled and secured safely

About you

- A current MR Licence or higher
- A good driving record
- A strong focus on safety
- Reliability and a good work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol screening
