We're seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our Hall Street Centre and create an environment where children, families and educators thrive.

We're looking for a leader who is passionate about quality, compliance and operational excellence, while understanding that outstanding outcomes are achieved through people. You'll build capable teams, foster a positive culture and lead by example every day.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be supported by an experienced organisational leadership team and have opportunities to further develop your leadership capability across operational, financial, people, quality and strategic areas of the business.

About the Hall Street Centre

Our Hall Street Centre is a 29 place Long Day Care service for children aged 0-6 years, supported by a team of approximately 8 educators across two learning environments. The Centre operates Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm and has strong connections with local families and the wider Cessnock community.

While boutique in size, the role offers the opportunity to lead all aspects of service performance and develop broad leadership capability across people, quality, compliance, finance and operations,



supported by CMCC's experienced leadership team.

About the Role

As Centre Director, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of service operations, including:

Lead the day to day operation and performance of the service

Build a positive, accountable and engaged team culture

Coach, mentor and develop educators and emerging leaders

Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements

Partner with families and stakeholders to maintain strong community connections

Drive quality improvement, occupancy and operational outcomes

Undertake the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor

You are an approachable and values driven leader who enjoys working alongside your team and helping others succeed. You build trust, communicate effectively, lead with accountability and are comfortable having courageous conversations when needed.

You will bring:

Leadership experience within Early Childhood Education and Care

Strong people leadership and team development capability

Experience leading change, improvement or growth initiatives

Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework

Excellent communication and relationship building skills

A commitment to child safety and continuous improvement

Current Working with Children Check

Current First Aid and CPR qualifications

Eligibility and willingness to undertake the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor

Strong working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, National Quality Standards, and other regulatory requirements

Experience leading teams within an early childhood education and care environment
