The Women's Health Centre Southern Highlands – Mittagong NSW

We are seeking a compassionate and competent Practice Nurse (RN) to join The Women's Health Centre Southern Highlands in Mittagong, NSW. This is a part-time position delivering high-quality nursing care within a dedicated women's health practice. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team and providing direct patient care in a general practice healthcare setting. We are one of the national Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinics and this position is fundamental to ensuring our patients receive comprehensive, trauma informed nursing services and health education that promotes wellness and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities:

- Providing direct patient care, chronic disease management and health assessments under the guidance of medical practitioners
- Performing routine clinical procedures such as blood pressure monitoring, ECGs,wound care, immunisations and iron infusions
- Taking detailed patient histories and maintaining accurate clinical records
- Educating patients on health promotion, disease prevention and management of chronic conditions
- Supporting the clinical team in the delivery of women's health services, including gynaecological and reproductive health care
- Assisting with minor procedures and treatments as required
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical workplace
- Communicating effectively with patients, families and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
- Contributing to practice initiatives that enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes

What we're looking for:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)




- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, trauma informed, patient-centred care
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and clinical documentation
- Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice and current health guidelines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a general practice team
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to professional development and continuing education
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for women's health
- The ability to work additional days to cover our other practice nurse during periods of leave
