The opportunity

The primary objectives of the position is to undertake reactive and preventative maintenance works including operational activities associated with CHW water and sewer civil network assets.

- Work within a small work team undertaking reactive and preventative civil maintenance activities.
- Civil Maintenance plant and equipment operation, inspections and daily maintenance requirements
- Plan and manage jobsites, booking of contractors and organisation of follow up works with guidance available from Senior Civil Maintenance Officers and Leading Hands.
- Provide on-the-job training, based on their skills and/or experience, to new employees of the same or lower levels.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- Relevant qualifications and experience.
- Well developed verbal communication, reasoning and numeracy skills.
- Physical capacity and ability to work outdoors under a variety of environmental conditions.
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of OH&S; practices relating to field-based activities.
- Ability to undertake 24/7 standby roster
