With work located in Newcastle/Central Coast and regional areas we are seeking to appoint Trade Assistants to join our team on a contract basis.
About the role
As a Trade Assistant, working on our projects, you will working within a team to ensure site set-up.
Key Responsibilities
- General labouring and site maintenance
- Assist tradespeople with daily tasks including site preparation, tool handling, and material movement
- Operate tools within scope of skills and experience
- Support site and workshop coordination and logistics
- Ensure good housekeeping practices on site and where relevant in the workshop
- Participate in and sign off on safety observations and toolbox discussions
- Follow safety procedures and work closely with a small team
- Ensure all company assets are secure and used safely and competently
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of Workplace, Occupation Health and Safety regulation
- Heritage restoration experience, highly desirable
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Must hold a valid white card
- Must hold a driver's licence and have access to a vehicle
- Must be able to apply for Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Must be able to obtain a National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test at anytime
