Due to ongoing production requirements, we are looking for two experienced Welders / Metal Fabricators to join our manufacturing team in Albury.

Both positions require strong welding skills and practical experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who can bring additional skills to the team, so you don't need to tick every box below.

Ideally, across the two appointments we would like to find experience in areas including:

- MIG and TIG welding
- Brake press operation
- Drill press operation
- Laser and/or punch machinery
- CNC lathe operation
- General metal fabrication and production machinery

The roles

Working as part of our factory production team, you will manufacture components used in OTTICO/SPITWATER products to a consistently high standard.

- MIG and/or TIG welding and general fabrication work.
- Reading and working from technical drawings, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Setting up and operating relevant production machinery within your skills and experience.
- Producing fabricated components accurately and efficiently to meet production schedules and targets.
- Checking the quality of your own work and identifying and reporting any faults or deviations.
- Minimising errors, rework and material waste.
- Working closely with Team Leaders, Managers and other members of the production team.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Following all WHS requirements, secure operating procedures and manual handling practices.
- Participating in training and continuous improvement activities.
- Working reasonable overtime when required during periods of high production demand.

The successful candidates

Experienced welding capability is essential. You will be confident working independently, able to produce consistently high-quality work and comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.

- Strong practical welding experience, particularly MIG and/or TIG.




- Experience in metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- A practical understanding of workplace safety and safe machinery operation.
- Reliability and a positive approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- A willingness to learn and develop skills across different areas of the factory.

Experience operating brake presses, drill presses, laser/punch machinery or CNC lathes would be highly regarded.

Relevant trade qualifications are desirable; however, we are also interested in hearing from experienced candidates who can demonstrate strong practical welding and fabrication skills.

The work

These are hands‑on factory roles involving the use of welding equipment, power and hand tools and production machinery. The work involves regular standing, bending and movement around the factory, as well as handling fabricated components which can weigh up to approximately 25kg.
