Pilloni is a Sardinian inspired restaurant in West End, recognised among Australia's Top 100 restaurants.

We are currently looking for an experienced Section Waiter or Waitress to join our front of house team.

This role is suited to someone who is confident running their own section, understands professional restaurant service, and enjoys creating a genuine connection with guests.

About the role

You will be responsible for managing your own section from start to finish, including:

- Welcoming and looking after guests throughout their experience
- Taking food and beverage orders confidently and accurately
- Managing multiple tables during busy services
- Explaining dishes, ingredients and menu concepts
- Recommending and upselling wine, cocktails and additional courses naturally
- Maintaining excellent communication with the kitchen and floor team
- Resetting and preparing your section efficiently
- Handling guest requests and dietary requirements professionally
- Delivering consistently polished, attentive service

What we are looking for

- Minimum 2 years experience in a quality restaurant environment preferred




- Robust experience running your own section
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Good food and wine knowledge
- Confident with upselling without being pushy
- Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- Reliable, professional and well presented
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid Queensland RSA
- Availability across evenings and weekends

Experience in Italian restaurants, premium casual dining, fine dining or high volume quality restaurants will be highly regarded.

This is not an entry level position.

We are specifically looking for someone who already understands section service and can confidently take responsibility for their tables from the beginning of service through to payment.
