The Shift Manager is responsible for running a safe, productive, and profitable shift in the restaurant, ensuring every customer receives a fast, accurate, and friendly experience in line with brand standards.

Key responsibilities

- Open or close the store as rostered
- Allocate crew across stations based on forecasted demand
- Adjust staffing in real time to manage speed of service and labour cost
- Monitor food safety and quality throughout the shift, completing required checks in eOPS and Donesafe
- Step in immediately to correct any deviation from standard
- Handle customer complaints on the floor
- Coach crew on performance in the moment
- Escalate anything requiring manager or owner attention
- Manage cash handling and till reconciliation for their shift
- Maintain a clean and safe environment and brief the next shift manager on anything outstanding
