Agi-Drive is seeking a practical and technically minded Production & Warehouse Technician to join our team full-time at our Somersby facility.

This is a varied, hands-on position involving the assembly, programming, testing, packing and dispatch of Agi-Drive electronic control products, together with inventory and warehouse responsibilities.

The position would suit someone who enjoys building and wiring products, takes pride in accurate workmanship and wants to develop their technical knowledge. As your product knowledge and capabilities grow, there will be opportunities to assist with product testing, prototype builds, basic fault-finding, repairs and on-site installations.

This is a varied, hands-on position involving the assembly, programming, testing, packing and dispatch of Agi-Drive electronic control products, together with inventory and warehouse responsibilities.

The position would suit someone who enjoys building and wiring products, takes pride in accurate workmanship and wants to develop their technical knowledge. As your product knowledge and capabilities grow, there will be opportunities to assist with product testing, prototype builds, basic fault-finding, repairs and in office installations.

Key responsibilities

- Assemble Agi-Drive products and sub-assemblies in accordance with work instructions, drawings, wiring information and production procedures

- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, including soldering, crimping, connector assembly, low-voltage wiring and enclosure assembly

- Program electronic products with the correct approved firmware and configuration

- Complete production and final functional testing before products are released for dispatch

- Record serial numbers, firmware versions, configuration details and other production traceability information

- Ensure the correct components, labels, hardware and accessories are used for each product or customer order

- Inspect work throughout the assembly process and identify defective,



damaged or non-conforming components

- Receive and check incoming stock and deliveries for quantity, condition and part correctness

- Store incoming stock and maintain a clean and organised production and warehouse environment

- Accurately pick components and finished products for production and customer orders

- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktakes and investigating discrepancies

- Monitor production consumables and report low-stock items before they interrupt production

- Pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and ensure products are protected during transport

- Assist with freight bookings, collections and incoming deliveries

- Maintain production tools, fixtures and test equipment in good working order

- Identify recurring quality or production issues and suggest practical improvements

- As your knowledge develops, assist with prototype builds, controlled product trials, product testing, repairs, basic fault-finding and on-site installations

- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical hands-on ability

- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, accurate work

- Ability to follow written work instructions, wiring information and documented procedures

- Confidence using computers and learning production, inventory and programming software

- Good organisational and time-management skills

- Initiative and practical problem-solving ability

- Ability to work independently, ask questions when required and take responsibility for completed work

- Clear verbal and written communication skills

- A reliable, positive and improvement-focused attitude

- Willingness to assist across different areas of the business when required

Highly regarded experience





Experience in any of the following areas would be highly regarded:

- Automotive electrical work

- Electronics or instrumentation

- Wiring-harness manufacture

- Soldering, crimping and electrical connector assembly

- Low-voltage wiring

- Reading basic wiring diagrams

- Basic electrical testing and fault-finding

- Assembly or testing of electronic products, control systems or vehicle electrical equipment

- Inventory or stock-control software

- Working in a small technical manufacturing business

You do not need experience in every area. Training will be provided to the right person who has strong practical ability, attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn.

About you

You enjoy building, wiring, testing and solving practical problems. You care about doing the job correctly rather than simply getting it out the door, and you are interested in understanding how the products you build work.

You are reliable and organised, follow procedures carefully and raise quality concerns rather than allowing problems to continue through production.
