RAO- Recreational Activities Officer

The Role

As a RAO at our Seven Hills Facility, you will be responsible for assessing individual resident lifestyle needs and developing engaging programs that support the varied social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of our residents. You will lead our Lifestyle team to create meaningful activities and experiences that enrich the lives of all residents.

Shift Available - Wednesday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, plan, and implement specialised activity programs to promote residents’ psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.
- Coordinate and deliver monthly calendars of events and activities.
- Engage with residents to understand their individual needs, interests, and goals.
- Support the team to deliver high-quality programs.
- Collaborate with the Facility Management Team to ensure activities are integrated into residents’ overall care plans.
- Complete general ad-hoc duties delegated by Facility Management and provide support to residents as required.
- Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident




- Have cert 4 in Leisure and Health

To Be Successful, You Will Have

- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment (Aged Care, Retirement Villages, Events, Tourism, Hospitality, or Administration).
- Creative thinking with a “can do” and “think outside the box” attitude.
- A compassionate nature and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others.
- The ability to engage with residents, families, and staff effectively.
- Previous experience in aged care or lifestyle roles (highly regarded).
- Competence with computers and documentation/reporting.
- Empathy for the elderly and people with disabilities.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
