Are you looking for a dynamic role in a busy port and terminal environment? AAT is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cargo Coordinator / Receival & Delivery Coordinator to support the efficient management of cargo operations within our terminal.

This role is responsible for assisting with the coordination, planning, receival, delivery and storage of cargo while ensuring compliance with operational, safety, customs and quarantine requirements. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day terminal activities and providing exceptional service to customers, transport operators and stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting to the Facility Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of cargo receival and delivery documentation, maintaining cargo records within terminal systems, supporting quarantine activities and facilitating the smooth movement of freight through the terminal.

You will work closely with terminal operations, transport operators, Customs, truck drivers and customers to ensure cargo is handled safely, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate cargo receival, delivery and storage activities.
- Process operational documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cargo records and inventory within the terminal operating system.
- Assist with cargo identification and quarantine treatment requirements.
- Monitor and update cargo movements within the terminal yard.
- Liaise professionally with customers, transport operators, Customs
- Provide support to yard operations and gate activities.
- Maintain accurate operational reports and cargo tracking records.
- Assist with reconciliation of cargo counts and end-of-shift reporting.
- Promote and maintain compliance with workplace health,



safety and environmental requirements.

About You

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You have strong communication skills, enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders and can effectively manage competing priorities.

- Demonstrated experience in clerical processing relating to cargo receival, delivery and storage operations.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with documentation and reporting systems.
- Knowledge of customs and quarantine requirements.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Ability to accurately interpret cargo documentation and operational instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Understanding of general cargo operations including break bulk, project cargo, steel, timber and other non-containerised cargo.
- Knowledge of terminal, port or logistics operations.
- Familiarity with cargo tracking and terminal operating systems.
- Understanding of yard operations, heavy equipment movements and secure work zones.
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
