Brisbane Day Surgery was established in 1997 as a dedicated ophthalmic day surgery hospital. Since that time, Brisbane Day Surgery has grown, moved location and developed into Australia's largest day surgery hospital. We are looking for dedicated Orderly/ Wardsperson for a full‑time or part‑time position to provide support to the nursing team to undertake a range of services that supports the well‑being of patients, visitors, staff and others.

To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:

- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- Be empathetic and courteous at all times
- The ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- An enthusiastic approach in the delivery of a high standard of care
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience in an Orderly/ Wardsperson Services or similar position
- Demonstrated knowledge of manual handling techniques, including patient transfers.
- Experience in a perioperative environment including operating suites.
- Experience in stores management.
- Previous theatre experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of surface cleaning practices and techniques, including infection control.
- Proven ability to work in a manner that preserves patient confidentiality and dignity.

- Willingness and flexibility to adapt to work requirements and changes in work practices.
- Positive attitude and approach to working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
