About the Role:

Are you a passionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing substance use disorders? Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner - Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) to provide advanced clinical care and leadership within AOD service.

As the AOD Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver advanced, autonomous clinical care to clients experiencing substance use disorders, including those receiving Opioid Replacement Therapy (ORT) Pharmacotherapy. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, treatment planning, harm reduction interventions, withdrawal support, and service navigation for clients across the region. The role incorporates a hybrid model of care, ensuring access to specialist services both onsite and remotely.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide specialist clinical care to people experiencing substance use disorders.
- Deliver AOD withdrawal support and harm minimisation interventions.
- Lead clinical practice and contribute to high-quality, evidence-based care.




- Support and mentor nursing and multidisciplinary staff through education and secondary consultation.
- Collaborate with General Practitioners, Pharmacists, Addiction Medicine Specialists, and community partners.
- Contribute to clinical governance initiatives and continuous quality improvement.
- Promote person-centred care and improve access for vulnerable populations.

Qualifications/experience required:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner endorsement through AHPRA.
- Postgraduate qualification in Alcohol and Other Drugs.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Nurse Practitioner within AOD services and/or with people experiencing substance use disorders.
