Key responsibilities

- Completing general yard duties and material handling
- Sorting and grading recyclable metals
- Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins and trailers
- Operating a counterbalance forklift
- Operating front-end loaders, skid stew loaders or excavators
- Assisting with dismantling and preparing materials for recycling
- Providing good customer service to customers entering the site
- Learning site procedures and safe machinery operations
- Keeping the yard clean, safe and organised
- Following all WHS policies and procedures

About you

- A current ticket for at least one of the following: forklift, front-end loader, skid steer loader (Bobcat) or excavator
- Previous experience operating at least one of these machines




- Mechanically minded with a willingness to learn other machinery
- Comfortable working outdoors in a busy recycling yard
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

$43.64 per hour

Monday-to-Friday roster

Regular overtime hours and paid accordingly

Prospect to develop experience across different heavy machinery

Training across excavators, front-end loaders, material handlers and dozers
