V Care Assisted Living is seeking reliable, compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Hamlyn Terrace. We are looking for support workers with experience in personal care, manual handling, mealtime modifications and Epilepsy.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting participants with community access, appointments, shopping and social activities
- Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, hoist transfers and toileting
- Assisting with daily living activities and promoting participant independence and manual handling
- Supporting participants to work towards their NDIS goals
- Following individual support plans that might be behaviour support, mealtime management plans and care instructions
- Supporting participants who may display complex medical or behaviours of concern
- Providing high-quality support while maintaining dignity, choice and control
- Completing progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators and the wider care team





About you

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a relevant qualification
- Previous disability or community care experience
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check where required
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Positive communication and documentation skills
- Casual SCHADS Award rates from $45 - $48 per hour, depending on applicable classification and experience
- Additional weekend, public holiday, shift and other applicable penalties/allowances
- Flexible casual shifts
