CD Batteries Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Blacktown, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of vehicles. As an Auto Electrician, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery, ensuring that customers receive high-quality electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work. This position is essential to our business operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction and safety.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, and lighting systems
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting using specialised equipment and diagnostic tools
- Install and maintain automotive electrical components and accessories
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job
- Ensure all work is completed to industry standards and in compliance with safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding electrical issues, repair options, and quotations
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Stay current with current vehicle technologies and electrical system developments

What we’re looking for

- Current automotive electrical qualification or equivalent recognised certification from a registered training organisation
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, ideally 1+ years in a workshop or service centre environment




- Competency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems and components
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and specialised automotive electrical tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and practices
- Preferred: Experience with vehicle battery systems and knowledge of battery technology relevant to the automotive industry
