Hours and remuneration This is a full-time position of approximately 38 hours per week, with overtime available. The remuneration for the role is $75,000 – $80,000 per annum, exclusive of the compulsory superannuation and any penalty rates, overtime and allowances.

Task & responsibilities

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Aged or Disabled Care Worker to join our team at 24Kare.

The successful candidate will provide personalised support to people with disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities, personal care, household tasks, community participation, and maintaining their independence. The role involves working closely with clients to support their individual needs, promote wellbeing, and help them achieve their personal goals in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Assist clients with everyday activities, including personal care, mobility, meal preparation, medication support, and maintaining their home environment.
- Communicate with clients and their families to understand their needs and ensure support arrangements are appropriate and agreed upon.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients experiencing loneliness, confusion, grief,



or other personal challenges.
- Encourage and assist clients to participate in social, recreational, and community activities based on their interests and abilities.
- Help clients understand and access appropriate disability support programs, services, and community resources.
- Support clients in developing skills and participating in education, training, or employment opportunities where appropriate.

- Monitor clients’ wellbeing and safety, identify potential hazards, and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies within the home or community setting.

Qualification & experience

- AQF Certificate II, AQF Certificate III, or at least one year of relevant experience

- Relevant experience in disability, community, aged care, or support services.

- Ability to provide personal and community support to people with disabilities.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-care skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a support team.

- Experience assisting with daily activities, client needs, and support plans.

- Ability to maintain records and report on client progress.

- Relevant checks and clearances, or willingness to obtain them.

- Relevant qualification or equivalent work experience, where required.
