Every shift at Organika has a moment where someone needs to make the call. A customer who needs handling, not just serving. A team member who needs direction, not just a roster. A café and a grocery floor that need to run as one experience, not two.

This is a 2IC role. You'll own Front of House and the café - the customer experience, the floor team, the day-to-day rhythm of service - together with the Store Manager you run the store. When the Store Manager isn't on the floor, you are the floor, with the authority to make the call and the judgement to make it well.

Team leadership

train, coach and set the standard for the FOH and café team; be the first point of escalation on the floor, tracking performance and KPIs as you go.

Customer experience

build relationships, resolve complaints and issues with confidence and judgement, and keep service warm, fast and consistent.

Store operations, FOH side

manage rostering, cash handling and reconciliation, and the daily rhythm of the floor and café; step up and run the whole store when the Store Manager is off the floor.

Menu & inventory

partner with the Culinary Manager on menu execution, catering and café stock.

Compliance

food safety, WHS and age-restricted product handling, done properly every time.

Cost control





review ordering and processes to cut waste and protect margin on your side of the business.

Every shift opens and closes cleanly. The team knows what's expected and delivers it without being chased. Customer issues are handled with expert care and attention. The café and the grocery floor feel like one experience, not two. Rostering, cash and waste are accurate and under control every time. When the Store Manager steps away, nothing slips.

WHO YOU ARE

3+ years in hospitality, retail or customer service, including experience in leadership/management roles.

Ready to be second-in-charge: comfortable owning decisions, not just following them.

A confident decision-maker who stays calm under pressure.

Natural with people: customers and team alike.

Hands-on: you fix things, you don't just flag them.

Comfortable running a quick-paced floor without dropping standards.

Required: one weekend day every week as part of the roster. This isn't negotiable, so please don't apply if you can't commit to it.

A genuine interest in healthy living and Organika's product range.

Café, coffee and food service know-how.

Bonus: experience in an organic, wellness or health-focused business, or in budget and cost control.
