The position is part of the Payroll Team, located at Mascot. The Payroll Officer provides accurate and timely processing of company payroll and assists the Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Manager with ad hoc tasks related to payroll projects.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-end processing of company payrolls (weekly and monthly)
- Maintain the payroll system and Time & Attendance system, including updating the approval matrix, registering clocks, and setting up new starters
- Update and maintain payroll records
- Liaise with staff and management on payroll-related queries
- Maintain leave, sickness and overtime reports
- Interpret awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances, etc.
- Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations
- Assist in the calculation and processing of termination payments
- Process pay increases and calculate back pays
- Calculate annual leave and long service leave provisions/accruals
- Support projects as required, such as process improvement and standardisation of payroll systems

About You





- 2-3+ years' experience in a similar payroll role; exposure to Kronos Time & Attendance systems and Micropay Payroll system
- Understanding of payroll legislation and processes; exposure to EBAs, awards and other relevant legislation
