We are seeking an organized, proactive Hire Controller to join our team in Sandgate. About the Role
Managing daily hire bookings, dispatch coordination, and customer enquiries. Serving as the primary point of contact for contractors, ensuring machinery arrives on site ready to work and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Process inbound hire requests via phone and email from quote through to invoice
- Coordinate logistics, transport scheduling, and dispatch/return of EWPs and access equipment
- Manage fleet utilization, off-hires, and swap-outs using hire management software
- Communicate with workshop and service teams regarding fleet readiness, tagging, and maintenance
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and other EWP hire service providers
What We’re Looking For
Industry Background: Demonstrated experience within the plant hire, access/EWP, or equipment rental industry is highly desirable
Systems: Hands-on experience with Latner Hire Software (or equivalent equipment rental management platforms) is highly regarded
Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written customer service skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
Organization: Ability to handle shifting logistics priorities calmly under tight morning dispatch schedules
Logistics Acumen: Familiarity with heavy transport coordination and machinery transport requirements
