ABOUT US What we do Based in Australia’s tropical far north, Cairns Marine has easy access to the world-famous Great Barrier Reef, the isolated and pristine reefs of the Coral Sea and the remote and untamed Gulf of Carpentaria.

Cairns Marine is Australia’s largest collector and supplier of marine life for display in aquaria, servicing domestic retail outlets and wholesalers worldwide. Cairns Marine also provides public aquaria with a complete stocking solution for large animals, including many sharks, rays as well as a bewildering array of smaller fish and invertebrates.

About You

We are looking for qualified and skilled Divers to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct scuba diving operations in tropical reef and open-water environments
- Collect, handle, and transport marine species in line with best practice and sustainability standards




- Operate and maintain dive and collection equipment
- Assist with vessel operations, including deck work and maintenance as required
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Work collaboratively with a close-knit team in often remote and challenging conditions

Qualifications

- At least 3 years of working experience as a Diver working in marine, diving, or aquaculture industries (preferred)
- Robust swimming and water safety skills
- High level of physical fitness and ability to work in remote environments
- Knowledge of tropical reef fish and invertebrates highly regarded
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to variable schedules and conditions
- Boat handling skills or relevant tickets (advantageous)

Salary

Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 annually
