About You

The successful applicant for this role loves working outdoors and takes pride in their work. The following mandatory criteria applies:

You are under 25 years of age

You are no longer attending high school

You do not currently hold a Certificate IV or greater Tertiary qualification, other than if obtained at school

You'll also havethe following attributes/qualifications:

Passion for technology

Able to travel regularly (including overnight stays of up to 14 days) to remote sites

Experience working with rural and remote sites an advantage

Willingness to work at heights

Driver's License

We hire on attitude and train for skill.If you are committed, keen and eager to learn, we will teach and train you for the gaps.

In addition to the Certificate III in Telecommunications, you will be trained for:

Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Certificate

ACMA Open Cablers Registration

Completing carrier grade installations

Fixed wireless (Licensed, unlicensed, PTP and PMP)

Configuring networking equipment

First Aid Certificate

Construction Industry White Card

The Role

Take your part in the MarchNet team delivering smarter telecommunication services to remote locations. MarchNet builds and operates a network that we are proud of.

Responsibilities and duties of this role you'll learn how to completeinclude:





Installation and maintenance of telecommunications facilities including

Climbing radio tower masts and monopoles

Installation of microwave radios and at height

Cabling though buildings between communication equipment

Assist with construction of radio towers

Installation of low voltage power systems

Createplans to deliver high capacity services to regional and remote locations

Create documentation that captures all required details to support completed projects

Configure and test equipment in collaboration with the Network Engineering team

Be involved from start to finish in projects to ensure smooth deployment of projects and effective implementation of lessons learnt
