Machine Operator - Immediate Start | Thornton NSW

What's on Offer

- $36 per hour + super + overtime paid at penalty rates

- Monday to Friday roster, 6:00am - 2:30pm

- Consistent overtime opportunities (approximately 5-10 hours per week on average)

- Immediate start available

- Ongoing position with potential to transition to permanent for the right person

- Work within a stable steel manufacturing environment producing quality products

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will play an important role in operating machinery to manufacture quality steel products while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Operating steel manufacturing machinery including roll formers, slitters, press brakes, folders, and similar equipment

- Setting up machinery and adjusting controls to meet production requirements





- Loading materials and ensuring products are processed accurately

- Monitoring production quality and completing quality checks

- Reading job specifications and following production requirements

- Safely handling steel products and materials

- Maintaining a clean, organised, and secure work area

- Supporting the wider production team when required

About You

We're looking for someone who is more than just experienced - we're looking for a reliable operator who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a high-performing team.

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience operating steel processing or manufacturing machinery

- Experience with roll formers, slitters, press brakes, folders, or similar equipment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a team

- A reliable work history and strong work ethic

- Ability to work safely and follow procedures in a fast-paced environment

- Forklift licence and experience highly regarded, but not essential
