About the Role

This is one-to-one, person-centred disability support, delivered in participants' homes and out in the community across our Greater Western Sydney footprint.

What you do on any given day is built around that participant's own goals, preferences and support plan.

Continuity matters here. Participants see the same worker wherever possible, because that relationship is the service.

The position starts at a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week, made up of shifts across our service area, and there will be more hours on offer as we grow.

What You Will Be Doing

- Supporting personal care and daily routines in the way each participant prefers, with their dignity and privacy at the centre
- Assisting with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation and the practical parts of running a home
- Supporting participants to get out into their community, attend appointments and take part in the things they enjoy




- Building daily living skills and confidence, doing things with participants rather than for them
- Supporting medication and mealtime plans where you are trained and assessed as competent to do so
- Keeping accurate progress notes and raising anything that changes or concerns you

What You'll Bring

- We would rather find someone with the right heart and solid practical judgement than tick a qualification box, so experience and values matter more to us here than a certificate. The Working with Children Check and the NDIS Worker Screening clearance are essential.
- A current NSW Working with Children Check, which every support worker must hold so you can be rostered to any participant
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
- A current driver licence and a roadworthy, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current first aid and CPR certification, as you will often be working on your own
- A Certificate III in Individual Support is welcome but not essential, and strong disability experience counts just as much
