Belcher Diesel Service Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our Townsville team.

This full-time role offers varied work across commercial and recreational marine vessels, mobile plant, light vehicles, light trucks and power generation equipment. You’ll be carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a broad range of diesel-powered equipment, with a mix of workshop and field-based work.

Key responsibilities

Service, diagnose and repair diesel engines and associated systems.

Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical and fuel system faults.

Carry out general repairs, engine removals and installations where required.

Attend customer sites and carry out field service work.

Complete job cards and maintain accurate service records.

Deliver high-quality workmanship and skilled customer service.

Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily operational goals.

About you

Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Light Vehicle Mechanic,



Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.

Experience across one or more of the following areas: marine, mobile plant, automotive, light trucks or power generation.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Own basic hand tools.

A positive attitude and professional approach.

Experience across multiple industries will be highly regarded; however, applicants with strong mechanical experience in one area who are keen to broaden their skills are encouraged to apply.
