Lead Finance in a Premium Australian Brand

Oztent is a well-established and growing Australian business, manufacturing and wholesaling high-end camping and outdoor equipment. Known for quality, innovation and strong customer demand, we're entering an exciting phase of growth—and we're looking for a Senior Finance Manager to help drive the next stage.

This is a key leadership role, working closely with the CEO and broader leadership team, with real influence across both financial and operational performance.

The Opportunity

This is not a "back-office" finance role.

You’ll take full ownership of the finance function while partnering with the business to improve profitability, optimise operations and support strategic decision‑making.

You’ll be equally comfortable:

- Rolling up your sleeves in the detail
- Leading and developing a team
- Providing commercial insight at the leadership level

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- End-to-end ownership of finance, accounting and reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial modelling
- Delivering accurate, timely and meaningful financial insights
- Supporting business planning, funding and risk management

Commercial & Operational Impact

- Partner with operations, sales and procurement to improve margins
- Drive inventory performance and working capital outcomes
- Provide insights into pricing, product profitability and cost control
- Identify and deliver cost reduction initiatives

Control & Compliance

- Oversee AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end/year-end processes




- Manage BAS, FBT and statutory compliance
- Maintain strong financial controls, systems and processes

Systems & Improvement

- Improve financial systems, reporting and data visibility
- Lead system upgrades, integrations and process improvements
- Build scalable finance processes to support growth
- Lead, mentor and develop a small finance/admin team
- Build a high-performance, accountable team culture

What We’re Looking For

- Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance (CA/CPA highly regarded)
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- Background in manufacturing, wholesale or product-based businesses highly desirable
- Strong understanding of inventory, supply chain and operational finance
- Experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, inventory management and stock optimisation highly desirable
- Advanced skills in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Experience improving systems and processes
- Hands‑on approach with the ability to operate strategically
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
- Australian work authorisation - without sponsorship requirements - is required at the time of application
