National Risk and Quality Governance Manager

Avive Health is seeking an experiencedNational Risk and Quality Governance Managerto lead clinical governance, quality, risk and accreditation readiness across our hospitals and virtual services.

This is a senior, hands-on role with genuine influence. You will work with executives, Board committees, clinicians and site leaders to build consistent systems, strengthen accountability and turn complex governance requirements into practical ways of working.

Avive Health is an Australian private mental health hospital group built around a doctor-first model.

We operate inpatient hospitals in the Mornington Peninsula, Brisbane and Alphington, together with national telehealth and in-home virtual care services. With further expansion planned, we are strengthening the systems that will support safe, high-quality care across our growing national network.

What you will lead

- Build and embed Avive's national clinical governance, quality and risk framework
- Lead accreditation, licensing, audit and regulatory readiness
- Strengthen incident, complaints and open disclosure systems
- Develop meaningful quality and risk reporting for executives and the Board
- Identify emerging trends and ensure corrective actions are owned and completed




- Coach clinical and operational leaders to strengthen governance capability
- Support a culture of transparency, learning and continuous improvement
- Establish a quality and risk roadmap that supports Avive's future growth

What you will bring

- Strong knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Experience leading accreditation and audit readiness
- The ability to translate governance requirements into practical systems
- Confidence interpreting quality, safety and risk data
- Experience reporting to executives or Boards
- Credibility with clinicians and senior operational leaders
- Strong judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to travel regularly interstate

Experience in private mental health, acute hospitals, behavioural health, aged care or another clinically led workplace will be highly regarded. Experience supporting growth, new sites, acquisitions or service integration would also be valuable.
