They are now seeking an experienced Site Director / Director of Nursing (SD/DON) to provide strategic leadership for one of their regional campuses.

The Role

This is an outstanding executive opportunity for an accomplished nursing leader to provide strategic, operational and professional leadership across a regional hospital campus.

Reporting to the General Manager Hospital Services , with a professional reporting line to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer , you will lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care while driving workforce capability, operational excellence and clinical governance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide visible executive leadership across the hospital campus.
- Lead nursing services, workforce planning, recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Drive clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety outcomes.
- Collaborate with Executive Directors and senior leaders to deliver strategic service plans.
- Champion innovation and contemporary models of care across clinical services.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams and future nursing leaders.
- Represent the organisation with community stakeholders,



government agencies and healthcare partners.
- Lead emergency management responsibilities for the campus.
- Ensure operational performance aligns with organisational strategy and healthcare standards.

You’ll work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Nursing Directors and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure exceptional care delivery across the campus.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Leadership and/or Health Management.
- Minimum five years' experience in a senior nursing leadership or executive healthcare management role.
- Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary teams within a complex healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, accreditation and risk management.
- Proven experience in workforce planning, organisational change and service improvement.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across executive, clinical and community stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset with a strong commitment to innovation and patient-centred care.
