ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the General Manager – Environment, as the Principal - Environmental Approvals, you will lead the development and delivery of environmental approvals across State and Federal jurisdictions, supporting the successful delivery of our projects.

You will develop approval strategies aligned with business objectives, provide expert technical advice, and work closely with Traditional Owners, government agencies and other stakeholders to navigate regulatory requirements and achieve effective approval outcomes.

You will also oversee external consultants and specialist work packages, provide input into contracts, and report on progress, schedule and budget, while contributing to broader environmental initiatives across the business.

ABOUT YOU

Tertiary qualificationsin Environmental Scienceor a relateddiscipline.

Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering complex Stateand Federal environmentalapprovals, including EIS,



major amendments andFederal referrals.

Strongunderstanding of relevantenvironmental legislation, particularly theEP Act andEPBC Act.

Solid technical writing, attention to detailand problem-solvingskills.

Excellent planning, organisational and timemanagement skills, withthe ability tomanage competing priorities.

Experience managing externalconsultants, specialistwork packages andstakeholder relationships.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagementskills, including workingwith government agenciesand Traditional Owners.

Flexible and adaptable, with the abilityto respond effectivelyto changing businessneeds.
