We are seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Superintendent to join our Parkhurst and Kunwarara Maintenance & Engineering team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic direction and oversight of maintenance and asset management across both operations, ensuring the ongoing safety, reliability, and performance of our assets. You will lead maintenance capability, asset investment planning, and risk management initiatives that support QMAG's operational and strategic goals while driving sustainable and cost-effective outcomes.

Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a protected, healthy, and high-performing workplace.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop, coach, and lead engaged and capable teams.

Extensive maintenance and asset management experience within mining, processing, manufacturing,



or a similar heavy industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of reliability, asset management, budgeting, and continuous improvement practices.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and critical thinking skills.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-focused, with a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving business objectives.

The Role

As the Maintenance & Engineering Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

Leading and developing the maintenance function across multiple sites, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture.

Building workforce capability through coaching, succession planning, and skills development.

Driving asset reliability and maintenance excellence through effective planning, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Providing strategic input into capital investment, asset replacement, and long-term asset management plans.

Championing health, safety, and environmental performance while ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements.

Managing maintenance operating and capital budgets, ensuring cost-effective and value-driven outcomes.

Overseeing contractor and supplier performance to support operational and commercial objectives.

Establishing and monitoring maintenance KPIs to enhance reliability, productivity, and operational performance.

Collaborating with operational and support teams to achieve business objectives and production targets.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, suppliers, and community representatives.

Contributing to business strategy and supporting executive decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.

The Requirements





We are looking for people with the following:

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering, or a relevant Trade Qualification with leadership experience.

Relevant statutory qualifications and licenses, as required.

Extensive maintenance and asset management leadership experience within mining, processing, manufacturing, or heavy industry.

Proven capability in leading maintenance operations, asset reliability programs, budgets, contractors, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
