Brisbane | Full-Time | Mining & Minerals Projects

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering major mining, minerals and metals projects across Australia. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide technical leadership across studies, FEED, detailed design, brownfield modifications, sustaining capital works and major project developments.

This role offers exposure to high-profile resource sector projects, a team-oriented team setting, and the opportunity to contribute across the full project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver piping engineering services across studies, FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning phases.
- Lead the development and review of piping calculations, specifications, material requisitions and engineering deliverables.
- Perform and review hydraulic calculations, slurry and process piping designs, pipe stress analysis and nozzle load assessments.
- Review piping layouts, isometrics, support designs and 3D model deliverables.
- Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
- Participate in HAZOPs, constructability reviews, design reviews and project meetings.
- Provide technical support during construction,



commissioning and operational readiness activities.
- Collaborate closely with internal disciplines, clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure quality, safety and compliance across all engineering deliverables.

About You

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- RPEQ registration (essential) .
- Significant piping engineering experience within mining, minerals processing, metals or heavy industrial projects.
- Strong project delivery experience across FEED, detailed design, EPCM, construction and commissioning environments.
- Technical expertise in slurry transport, process piping, dewatering systems, pipe stress analysis, supports and ASME B31.3.
- Experience preparing and reviewing piping specifications, datasheets, scopes of work, requisitions and 3D model deliverables.
- Exposure to software such as FluidFlow, AFT Fathom, CAESAR II, NozzlePRO, E3D, Smart3D or Plant3D.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
