Senior Finance Manager - Group Reporting | 12M FTC

Join a large, leading ASX listed organisation with a strong brand presence and a reputation for developing high performing finance professionals.

This is an initial 12-month maternity leave that sits within the Group Financial Reporting function, giving you the opportunity to take true ownership of complex consolidation and technical accounting work, lead a small team, and build strong relationships with senior finance stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage quarterly and year-end US GAAP reporting, owning the end-to-end consolidation process across the group's businesses and investments.
- Lead annual reporting and local financial statement preparation under IFRS, shaping how the business tells its financial story.
- Act as the technical go-to, providing expert accounting guidance on unique and complex transactions that keep the business ahead of the curve.
- Champion a best-practice control setting, working closely with external auditors and driving smart remediation where needed.
- Simplify and continuously improvement initiatives that genuinely elevate the finance function.
- Mentor and grow a Senior Accountant, helping them build their own technical expertise.

About You:

- Qualified Accountant from a Big 4 or Mid-Tier audit firm,



with 5+ years' post-qualified experience.
- Previous financial reporting or technical accounting experience involving consolidation of large, complex groups.
- Strong technical experience in IFRS, with US GAAP advantageous.
- Exposure to revenue recognition, impairments and consolidations is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience managing and developing a team is beneficial.
- Collaborative, confident, and capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

To Note:

- They are only considering audit trained candidates from a Big 4/Mid-Tier chartered firm.
- This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or long-term visa holder/able to work for the duration of 12 months.
- They operate a flexible WFH model of 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
- Shorter notice periods are highly preferred.
