As Magnolia Lane continues to expand, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced State Finance Broker to lead and grow its presence in Victoria.

This is a high-autonomy role for an established asset finance professional who enjoys developing trusted relationships, managing the finance process from beginning to end and identifying opportunities to grow a client portfolio.

You will have the freedom to manage your market and relationships, while being supported by an experienced national team with extensive industry knowledge, strong lender relationships and an established brand.

What you will be responsible for

- Managing and growing an existing asset finance client portfolio
- Developing new business and referral relationships across Victoria
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients, lenders and business partners
- Managing finance applications from initial enquiry through to approval and settlement
- Reviewing financial information and structuring appropriate finance solutions
- Proactively keeping clients informed throughout the application process
- Maintaining accurate files, CRM records and post-settlement follow-up
- Representing Magnolia Lane at client meetings, industry events and company functions
- Contributing to the continued growth of the Melbourne business
- Over time, there is also the opportunity to grow your portfolio and build a team around you.

About you





- You will be an experienced asset finance professional who is commercially astute, confident and highly self-motivated.
- This role will suit someone who values autonomy and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. You will not require close supervision, but you will enjoy being part of a collaborative national team that shares knowledge, supports one another and takes pride in delivering an exceptional client experience.
- To be successful, you will bring:
- At least eight years' experience in asset or equipment finance
- A strong understanding of finance applications, lender requirements and deal structuring
- Proven experience managing and growing client relationships
- The confidence to work independently and make sound commercial decisions
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Confidence using CRM systems and other business technology
- A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, commerce or a related discipline
- Just as importantly, you will be qualified, personable and relationship focused. You will care about doing the right thing by clients, communicate openly and contribute positively to the broader Magnolia Lane team.
