Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Knox Grammar School is seeking an experienced and caring leader to join our Boarding community as Deputy Head of Boarding & Head of Stage 6 Boarding . This is a unique opportunity to live and work within a vibrant, supportive boarding environment, helping guide and mentor our Year 11 and 12 boarders while contributing to the leadership and ongoing development of our Boarding program.
This is a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) role, working during term-time plus two non-term weeks, commencing in January 2027.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide leadership and support across the Boarding program.
- Guide the wellbeing, academic engagement and development of Year 11 and 12 boarders.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and nurturing residential community.
- Build strong partnerships with students, families and staff.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Boarding operations and student experience.
- We are looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in boarding, residential education or student wellbeing.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine commitment to the care, safety and development of young people.
- A collaborative, positive and community-minded approach.

- Current CPR certificate.
- Ability to show initiative and to work autonomously.
- Capable of managing a group of students effectively.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the School’s community.
- First Aid certificate.
- Valid driver’s license and can travel independently between required locations.
- Experience working in a school or education environment.
