Our SAP Platforms & Technology team is comprised of SAP Basis, ABAP, Interfacing, Data and Technical experts across Australia and New Zealand. This award-winning team provide implementation, upgrade, enhancement and system solutions to project sites across the region.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Engineering Expert to provide specialist technical expertise across the operation, support and modernisation of a complex SAP landscape. You will be responsible for SAP Basis, SAP HANA, platform performance, lifecycle management, system availability, security and technical migrations, while providing technical leadership across SAP S/4HANA initiatives.

NV1 Security Clearance Is Required For This Role.

The role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane or Perth

Key Responsibilities

- Provide senior SAP Basis administration and engineering.
- Manage SAP installations, upgrades, patching, transports, system refreshes and lifecycle activities.
- Monitor and optimise SAP system performance, availability and reliability.




- Troubleshoot complex SAP platform issues.
- Support SAP HANA, S/4HANA implementations, migrations and technical conversions.
- Design and support high availability, backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
- Work with infrastructure, security, architecture and application teams.
- Develop technical documentation and operating procedures.
- Provide technical advice, mentoring and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in on-call and scheduled release activities when required.

About You

- Robust experience as a Senior SAP Basis Administrator, SAP Basis Engineer or SAP Technical Engineering Expert.
- Extensive experience across SAP Basis and SAP HANA.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, migrations or transformations.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, landscape management and lifecycle management.
- Experience with database migration and SAP modernisation.
- Experience supporting SAP in large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

- SAP Basis / HANA certification.
- Experience with high availability, disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Linux and enterprise infrastructure experience.
- Cloud or hybrid SAP environments.
- Australian Government or similarly regulated environment experience.
- Experience in large-scale ERP transformation and SAP modernisation programs.
