We'relookingforanexperiencedLiDARprofessionaltostepintoaSeniorTechnicalLeadrolewithourLiDARProductionteaminAdelaide.Inthishands-onleadershiprole,you'lloverseepre-processingandpost-processingacrossthefullLiDARproductionworkflow,ensuringalldeliverablesmeetorexceedAustralianstandardspecifications,includingICSMandASPRSaccuracyclassifications.

Astheteam'stechnicalauthority,you'llsettechnicaldirection,establishbest-practicemethods,resolvecomplexdataqualityissuesandmentorjuniorteammembers.You'llalsoworkcloselywithprojectmanagementandclient-facingteamstokeeptechnicaloutcomesalignedwithprojectspecifications,timelinesandclientexpectations.

KeyResponsibilities

- Providehands-ontechnicalleadershipofLiDARproduction,includingtrainingandmentoringteammemberstobuildcapabilityacrosstheAdelaideteam.
- OverseeandundertakeLiDARpre-processing:GNSSprocessingandpositionalaccuracyassessment,rawextractionandvalidation,stripalignmentandaccuracyassessment,anddatatiling.
- OverseeandundertakeLiDARpost-processing:pointcloudclassification,classificationQAandmarkup,generationofderivedproducts(e.g.DEM,DSM)withassociatedQA,datamanagementandprojectreporting.




- ReviewandapproveQA/QCresultsanddeliverables,providingcorrectiveguidancewherecalibration,classificationorderivedproductsfallshortofspecification.
- Ensureoutputsmeetproject-specificandnationalLiDARspecificationsbeforedelivery,escalatingnon-conformanceswherestandardscannotbemet.
- DevelopandmaintainSOPsandworkinstructionsforpre-processingandpost-processingworkflows.
- Drivecontinuousimprovementofproductionworkflows,toolsandmethodologies.
- ActasLiDARtechnicalleadfortheDataEngineeringTeamonsoftwaredevelopmentprojects.
- Advisesales,flightoperationsandprojectmanagementonproductioncapability,capacity,feasibilityandtimelinesacrossallthreeproductlines.
- Providetechnicalinputintoproposalsandtenders,includingscopingproductioneffort,capturerequirementsanddeliverytimelinestosupportaccuratepricing.
