With a new 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, significant course and infrastructure investment underway and our Centenary approaching in 2027, Mount Osmond is entering an important next phase.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the Club’s finance function and become a key member of our management team.

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Finance & Risk Committee, this is a hands‑on senior finance role with responsibility for the quality, accuracy and integrity of the Club’s financial management, reporting and planning.

The role will have the benefit of experienced finance and administration support, allowing the successful candidate to focus on the areas where they can add the greatest value – budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, financial reporting, controls, audit, commercial analysis and supporting better decision‑making across the Club.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Club’s finance function and maintain strong financial controls and reporting disciplines.





Prepare clear and accurate monthly management accounts, financial commentary and reporting for the General Manager, Finance & Risk Committee and Board.

Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain meaningful forecasts and longer‑term cashflow planning.

Manage cashflow, working capital, investments and financial commitments.

Coordinate year‑end accounts, audit requirements and statutory financial obligations.

Oversee taxation and financial compliance requirements including GST, FBT and payroll tax.

Support capital expenditure planning, business cases and assessment of major projects.

Work closely with Heads of Department to understand financial performance, manage budgets and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.

Provide practical financial and commercial advice to the General Manager and leadership team.

Support the Finance & Risk Committee with financial reporting, analysis and relevant meeting papers.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical finance capability with a practical and collaborative approach.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business, with CA or CPA qualification preferred.





Strong experience managing the finance function within a small to medium‑sized organisation.

Demonstrated experience with management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.

Strong accounting, financial control and compliance capability.

Advanced Excel skills and the ability to turn financial information into clear and useful management reporting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The confidence to work directly with senior management, Committee and Board members.

A practical, organised and hands‑on approach, with strong attention to detail.

The ability to work collaboratively across different operational departments.

Experience with MYOB, MiClub or club-based systems would be advantageous, although not essential. Previous experience within a golf club, sporting club, hospitality or member‑based organisation would also be highly regarded.
