About the role:

Work within a high-performance, multidisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and translate radiopharmaceuticals. The position will contribute to developing and enhancing state-of-the-art preclinical capabilities to provide best practice operations and enabling and undertaking excellent research.
This is a 12 month maternity leave cover role. Ideally starting October / Nov.

Duties will include

- Development of animal disease models and apply them to preclinical animal studies, biodistribution studies, in vivo pharmacokinetics and data analysis
- Ensure operational safety, quality control and compliance with applicable standards, legislation and regulations
- Project management, develop and design studies, write animal ethics applications

Skills & experience

- PhD in pharmacology, cell biology, pathophysiology, biomedical sciences or related field.
- Knowledge and at least 5 years’ experience in developing animal disease models and studying physiology and/or pathology with in-vivo preclinical techniques
- Proven experience in formulating and leading research projects effectively, including the coordination of small multidisciplinary teams, to deliver high quality outputs.
- Demonstrated scientific leadership capabilities resulting in a robust publication track record in the preclinical imaging field.




- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive working relationship with a wide variety of staff, facility users and regulators e.g. government regulators, bioethics committees, animal care and ethics committees, safety committees.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, teamworking and communication skills.
- On site, full time Monday - Friday - 36.75hr week
- $78.26 p/h + super inclusive of casual loading
- This is a 12 month maternity leave cover role. Ideally starting October / Nov.
