Position Summary

n

The purpose of this role is to carry out technically skilled and qualifiedmachining,maintenance,servicingand repairs of a range of plant and vehicles, equipment, andagriculturalsystemswitha hydraulicfocus.

n

The role includesthe design,repairand fabrication of parts,utilizingmanuallathes, mills,anda range of welding.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry outmachiningand fabricationrepairs and maintenance tohydraulic systems, plantandequipment,utilizing manual lathes, mills, and a range of welding, including:
n
- Hydraulics pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, valves.
n
- A range ofmachineryand equipment including cranes,trucks, excavators, PTO systems etc..
n
- Co-ordinate workflow to ensure completion of defined tasks on time and within the approved budget.
n
- Assistwith developing and implementing strategies for the overall improvement of Taminda Hydraulics & Engineering's maintenance, repair and replacement of plant and equipment.
n
- Keeping ofappropriate worksheets,timesheetsand general records.
n
- Liaise withManager and Tradesmento help with the planning and schedulingofjobs, ensuring safe, efficient andcost-effectivemeasures and procedures are followed.
n
- Operate,maintainand securely store small plant and equipment.
n
- Report any loss or damage to plant,equipmentor materials.
n
- Maintain customer service standards and organisational values.
n
- Followprocedures foracquiringrelevant machinery parts, equipment, materials, uniforms and work specific items.
n
- Ensure safe work practices,



including the development and implementation of secure work method statements, risk assessments, and injury and incident reporting in line with WHS requirements.

Conditions

- Employment contract is for permanent,full timework.
n
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday,40hours per week,7:30am to 4:30pm, 15minute morning break, and1 hourmeal break.
n
- Four (4) weeks annual leave per year.
n
- Superannuation paidin accordance withlegislative requirements.
n
- Carry out work in a wide variety of environments – outdoors on worksites/indoors in the Workshop.
n

Selection Criteria

n

n
- Demonstrated experience inmachining and fabrication, witha high levelof understanding ofhydraulics and engineeringmaintenance and repairs with the ability to manage the technical aspects of the position.
n
- Demonstrated ability to plan work and think independently with acommonsenseapproach to problem solving to get results.
n
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and interpret work programs,quotes, and invoices.
n
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills; including proven ability to manage competing priorities,monitorand report progress and complete set outcomes within tight deadlines.
n
- Completion of an apprenticeship (Certificate III inEngineering – MechanicalTradeor equivalent) with minimum 3 years relevantwork-basedexperience.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the requirements of Work Health and Safety (WH&S;).
n
- Hold a current Class C Drivers Licence.
n
- Hold a currentWorkCoverNSW OHS Construction Induction Card.
n
- Be an Australian Resident or equivalent or holder of a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia.
n
- Hold a current first aid certificate.
n
- PreviousNCC Licence for Forkliftdemonstratedcompetency and experience approved by a qualified Trainer or Assessor.
