Speedy Bins is a fast-growing waste management business based in Virginia, Brisbane, and we're looking for a reliable and motivated Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our head office team.

About the Role

n

Reporting directly to management, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Accounts payable and receivable
n
- Bank reconciliations
n
- Payroll processing
n
- Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
n
- Supplier and customer account management
n
- Assisting with month-end reporting
n
- Cash flow reporting
n
- General administration and office support as required
n
- Answering of the phones and taking of orders
n

n

About You

n

To be successful in this role,



you will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience (minimum 2-3 years experience)
n
- Experience with Xero (preferred)
n
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
n
- A proactive and positive attitude
n
- Excellent communication skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (especially excel)
n
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening, including a criminal history check and drug and alcohol testing.
n
- Waste industry experience is not required, but will be considered and advantage.
